About John Alexiou

Curiosity, perspective, and practical experience.

I’m John Alexiou, founder and director of BuzzBot Drone LLC. I bring together a lifelong interest in technology, visual storytelling, and understanding how things work.

My technology journey began with a Tandy TRS-80 and an Apple IIe. Over more than 35 years, my work has spanned coding, full-stack development, information systems, and data architecture. I studied information systems at DeVry University and have kept learning as the tools and possibilities have changed. I have also worked on dozens of projects as project manager and project architect for several large technology companies.

Drones entered the picture in 2017. I wanted a better vantage point for photography, and that curiosity grew into professional aerial imaging, mapping, and property documentation. Travel through Europe, Asia, and the Americas, along with a love of rock climbing, continues to shape how I see landscapes and architecture.

I also know projects from the ground up. I grew up in a family of builders, with a father who was an architect and engineer, and developed hands-on carpentry experience. More than 15 years directing a small bricks-and-mortar business taught me the value of useful data, dependable systems, and clear communication.

Today, BuzzBot brings that experience to both drone projects and technology services: websites, branding, digital marketing, data integration, and AI onboarding. My AURELIUS-POLIS and AURELIUS-DEV frameworks reflect the same approach: define the work, build with purpose, verify the result, and make the handoff useful.

Whether you need a clearer view of your property or a better way to run part of your business, I’d be glad to hear what you’re working on.
