About the Founder

John Alexiou, Founder & Director — BuzzBot Drone LLC

I’m John Alexiou, the founder of BuzzBot Drone — and this company was born from a lifelong love of visual storytelling, technology, and exploration.

My journey with drones began back in 2017, purely out of curiosity. I wanted a better vantage point for photography — a way to capture moments from angles you just couldn’t reach safely or easily on foot. But what started as a hobby quickly grew into a deep appreciation for the power of perspective, and eventually, a passion for helping others see their world more clearly.

That passion is rooted in a life of movement. From a young age, I traveled extensively across Europe, Asia, and the Americas — solo, with family, and now with my beautiful, loving wife. Those adventures sparked my fascination with architecture, landscape, and space — from ancient ruins to modern skylines — and taught me to see the story in every structure and horizon.

Professionally, I bring an extensive background in technology, information systems, graphic design, and marketing — combined with the mindset of an athlete and avid rock climber, always seeking the best line, the cleanest angle, and the widest view. Drones offered me all of that — and now I use them to offer something valuable back.

I also bring hands-on experience as a skilled carpenter with a deep understanding of how structures come together at every stage. I was raised in a family of builders — my father was both an architect and an engineer — and I grew up learning how to read blueprints, problem-solve in real time, and visualize a project from foundation to finish. This background has shaped my ability to recognize load paths, site layouts, and the subtle language of design and materials — which translates into a keen eye for structural integrity, functional issues, and standout visual compositions.

As a director of a small bricks and mortar business for over 15 years, I also understand the bottom line. I know the value of good data, great media, and smart systems. I’ve learned how to use technology to streamline processes, reduce unnecessary risk, and make decisions with confidence — and I bring that same mindset to every drone mission, whether it's capturing a commercial property, inspecting a rooftop, or mapping a large parcel.

At BuzzBot Drone, I’ve combined my creative vision with precision drone technology to deliver professional aerial imaging, inspections, and mapping — all rooted in reliability, artistry, and real-world results.
