The River, the Ridges, and the Color Between

I photographed these views around Nanticoke, Shickshinny, and Mocanaqua on October 15, 2026. From above, the river gives the valley a shape that is harder to see from the road. The bends, islands, and wooded ridges pull together into one landscape.
What held my attention was the way the color followed that shape. Gold gathers along a cliff, a road curves through the canopy, and a quiet stretch of water carries the clouds. I chose these twelve photographs to move between those wide views and the smaller patterns in the trees.
I made this collection with my DJI Mavic 4 Pro using its Hasselblad L3D-100c main camera. The original capture records identify a 14.4 mm lens setting at f/2.8 for all twelve photographs. Each caption includes its shutter speed and ISO. The edits retain the original compositions and the landscape as photographed.
